Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Coulsdon

This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Man with Van Coulsdon in respect of its operations and supply chains. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and to uphold the rights and dignity of all people who work with or for us.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Coulsdon has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We are committed to conducting our business ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to modern slavery and human rights.

We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including employees, contractors, agency staff, and suppliers. Any involvement in, or facilitation of, modern slavery is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of employment or business relationships.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Coulsdon provides transport, moving, and related services. Our supply chain includes vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging providers, and certain outsourced support services. While we consider the overall risk of modern slavery in our direct operations to be relatively low, we recognise that risks can exist at different levels of the supply chain.

We are committed to gaining greater visibility over our supply chains, understanding where risks may arise, and taking proportionate steps to address them. We aim to work with suppliers who share our values and who demonstrate a commitment to responsible and lawful business practices.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers to comply with relevant labour, employment, and human rights laws and to ensure that they do not engage in, or benefit from, any form of modern slavery. Our supplier expectations include the prohibition of forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, child labour that is not in line with international standards, and any practices that restrict freedom of movement or withhold identity documents.

Where appropriate, we may conduct or commission audits or assessments of suppliers, particularly where we identify a higher risk of modern slavery. These audits may include reviews of employment records, working conditions, recruitment practices, and grievance mechanisms. If concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to develop and implement corrective actions or, where necessary, consider ending the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Coulsdon encourages all employees, workers, and business partners to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking at the earliest possible stage. Concerns may relate to our own operations or to those of any supplier or contractor associated with our business.

Reports can be made to a line manager or to senior management. Individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not suffer any retaliation, victimisation, or detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up. We treat all reports seriously and, where appropriate, will investigate and take necessary corrective or remedial action.

Training and Awareness

We aim to raise awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key suppliers. This includes providing guidance on recognising potential indicators of exploitation and the correct procedures for reporting concerns. As our business grows, we will continue to review the level and type of training needed for different roles, particularly those involved in procurement and supplier management.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

Man with Van Coulsdon is committed to continually improving its approach to detecting and preventing modern slavery. We will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every year, or sooner if there are significant changes in legislation, our operations, or identified risks within our supply chains.

The annual review will consider the effectiveness of our policies, supplier checks, audits, training, and reporting mechanisms. Where we identify gaps or areas for improvement, we will update our processes, adjust our risk assessments, and enhance our engagement with suppliers and workers.

This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the leadership of Man with Van Coulsdon and represents our ongoing commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings.
